IGNITE YORKSHIRE

Connecting young people with Yorkshires industrial Heritage

IGNITE YORKSHIRE is a 4-year project in which we are using Leeds waterways as an example of how Yorkshire's industrial heritage can be used to inspire young people, aged 14 - 19, to engage with their local industrial heritage in a way that will support them to translate its use for future generations. This is a regional programme, funded by Heritage Lottery and delivered through IVE (formerly Cape UK), an Arts Education organisation based in The Calls. The Canal & River Trust is a strategic partner in this project.

The current operational sites include: Leeds City Centre to Knostrop, Bradford-Shipley, West Leeds and Wakefield.
