The Potting shed

A neglected piece of horticulture which was created as an experimental site to explore how plants could neutralise and cleanse the waste which passes through the site. The Potting Shed not only created the breeding ground for plants but for trainees whose career path would span decades.

But… what other ghosts walk these grounds?

The Conservatory

Providing a beautiful view into the formal gardens but also a venue to stimulate the growth of plants and dreams. Originally cultivating plants which would improve the grounds but subsequently hosting weddings, meetings and training which would enhance the Organisation and it’s employees.

But… how could this support the Vision for the Future?

The Cellar

A time capsule going back to it’s roots as a Nunnery but also retaining memories of it’s corporate hosting. The rusty ladder failing to connect with the outside world and the windows creating a glimpse into the past.

But… what is it’s role in the future?

The Attic

A further time capsule of a dynasty of upstairs and downstairs. A door opened to few but respected by less. Attacked by age which does not respect boundaries. Vandalised by workmen enhancing the building. Graffiti left by illicit visitors but creating memories of a bygone age.

But… how could this space play host to it’s Heritage?

Our mission is to ensure the legacy of Esholt Hall lies within the people of Bradford and the wider catchment of Yorkshire.
