Float your boat is a men’s group supporting loneliness and isolation in the elder generations but not age limited.

Float your boat was set up with support from Leeds older people forum funding from the national lottery for three and half years   Back in 2017 to tackle social isolation in the elderly this group has grown and evolved from its original concept in to a support network not only supporting its members but giving its members opportunities to extend there knowledge and support to Canal Connection and a mixed  generational learning environment. The groups run every Tuesday,

The group is lead by members that have progressed through the training and development that Canal Connections offers. The group leader holds a skippers ticket and also has a qualified crew member that has also been a beneficiary of the project.
